Wooed by consistency
ILYSM!!
Happy Monday! Today is going to be a great day and I’m so glad you’re here. 🥰
Can we talk about the fact that this newsletter is officially one year old this week? A year ago I took a leap and started showing up in your inbox every Monday with recipes, money confessionals, real talk, and everything in between. I had no idea if anyone would read it, care about it, or stick around. But you did. Week after week you kept showing up and somewhere along the way this little newsletter became one of my favorite things I do.
One year later I am sitting here full of gratitude for every single one of you who has been part of this from the beginning. Thank you, truly. 🤍
And I have to say.. I am damn proud of myself. We live in a world that celebrates starting things but not finishing them. Most people quit somewhere around month three when the excitement wears off. A year of anything is not small. In a world full of distractions and a million reasons to walk away, choosing to keep going is everything and I chose to keep going for you every single week because dang it we need some joy in our inboxes!!
Now I want to hear from all 1,431 of you: What is the hardest part of staying consistent? For me it is the impatience. As a true Aries I want results yesterday and my expectations are always set impossibly high. I will be completely honest…I had dreams of hitting 10K subscribers by this one year mark. I am not there yet. But what I do have is a list that has grown consistently every single week and 1,431 people I genuinely show up for and that means more than a number ever could. You are here, I am here and that is something I am really proud of! Love you guys!
According to last week’s poll, 53% of you said you have way too many clothes. Honestly same, I was right there with you. Then I got my color analysis done and everything changed. Now I only buy what falls in my color palette which means everything works together and nothing goes to waste. Still one of the best things I have done for my wardrobe and I recommend it constantly.
Let’s get into it:
🍽️ What’s for Dinner
Stovetop Cabbage and Ground Beef Casserole - This one pot dish packs in so much flavor and features one of my fave vegetables that is so underrated - the cabbage! Mixed with rice and topped with melted cheese, I think my kids will love it.
Chicken Bacon Ranch (Sheet Pan Recipe) - I make some variation of this recipe at least once a month because it’s just that simple and that good. My husband loves this one too.
Thai Shrimp Curry with Yummy Shallot Crispies - I don’t have access to a good Thai restaurant near me so I’m always looking for take-out-at-home recipes. My kids love shrimp and this recipe only calls for minimal ingredients so it’s a weeknight win.
Sheet Pan Miso Marinated Cod with Broccolini - I have cod sitting in my freezer chest and this sheet pan recipe checked all the notes. Love adding in different flavors like miso to my kids’ palettes.
Sticky Glazed Chicken Ginger Meatballs - This is a great meal prep recipe and a hit with kids! I also like to serve as an app for group settings.

I teach kids about money for a living and I can assure you that one big allowance talk does nothing. Same small move, same day, every week, is the whole curriculum. Kids trust the pattern before they trust the lecture, same way your readers trust your cadence!! Congrats on your year!
